I planted a couple sage plants outside my front window almost ten years ago knowing they would attract Hummingbirds. I have enjoyed many years of consistent visits from the Hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. It is such a calming and beautiful sight, to watch the hummingbirds hover over, going from one blossom to another, feeding and then perching for a little break. They are amazing little birds, and VERY hard to photograph. I was lucky today to have my camera handy, but I had to shoot through the window. I will try to capture more before we move. 🙂
I believe this is female Allens Hummingbird, as her colors are not as bold and bright as the males. 🙂
Also are a couple photos of a House Finch/Sparrow perched in our Crepe Myrtle Tree. Happy Spring!
