It’s been a couple years since I’ve walked the grounds of the Jewel of the California Mission’s, Mission San Juan Capistrano. They don’t call it the “Jewel” for nothing, it is a very beautiful Mission indeed (my favorite). The flowers were not in full bloom, but they are definitely blooming and so beautiful. I plan to go back in May when spring is in full swing. I saw one Monarch Butterfly today, but it was camera shy, so I really want to go back for some butterfly shots. I did, however, get a shot of a very outgoing Blue Bellied Lizard flexing his muscles for me, and showing off his beautiful blueish/purple scales! I’ve never seen a lizard like that before! 🙂
Here are some of my favorite shots of today. I used both my Canon Mark III and my iPhone 6s+. I am continually impressed with the quality of my iPhone. I used the iPhone for some of the landscape & architecture shots, and my MIII for the florals. 🙂 Enjoy!
